Propylene Oxidation Over MgO Modified Micro TS-1

2012
Micro TS-1 with the size of 1-2 μm was synthetized, and modified with MgO to kill the acid sites on the catalyst. The samples were characterized with SEM,XRD and BET.The catalytic performance of the modified TS-1 for propylene epoxidation reaction with methanol as solvent was studied. The results showed that with the TS-1 modified by MgO as catalyst the propylene epoxide(PO) selectivity of propylene epoxidation could be significantly improved, and the byproduct generate rate was reduced.Under the optimal reaction conditions of CH2O2=1.0 mol/L,θ= 60℃,t=60 min,pC3H6 =0.6 MPa,VCH3OH/mTS-1=80 mL/g,the hydrogen peroxide conversion was 99.5%,propylene epoxide selectivity was 96.7%,and propylene epoxide yield was higher than that over unmodified micro TS-1.
