Synthesis and Characterization of Some Bismaleimides Containing Ether Groups in the Backbone

New bismaleimides containing ether groups in the backbone were synthsized and characterized. They were prepared by reacting maleic anhydride with various diamines (having ether groups). Monomers were characterized by infrared and poton nuclear resonance spectroscopy as well as by elemental analysis. The thermal properties of the bislmaleimides were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential thermogravimetry (DTG) and isothermal gravimetric analysis (IGA).
