Quality Management Systems ISO 9901 and the Use of High Involvement Work Practices

Quality management systems place great emphasis upon HR management as a key factor in assuring the attainment of an organization’s objectives, given that they can sustain the competitive window and bring great efficiency, being a valuable and intangible active factor in an organization. Starting from this vision, and by applying a purely instrumental point of view centered upon results, in this chapter we will analyze to what extent the implementation of a quality management system based on the application of ISO 9001 favors the putting into action of High Involvement Work Practices, and what is the impact of this on the results of the organizations.
