Human miR-1229 antisense oligonucleotide and application thereof

2011
The invention discloses an antisense oligonucleotide for inhibiting expression of the human microRNA-1229 and application thereof. The antisense oligonucleotide specifically binds to the human miR-1229, and contains sequences which are complementary to 13-23 continuous nucleotides in the following nucleotide sequence 5'-CUCUCACCACUGCCCUCCCACAG-3', especially contains the sequence 5'-CUGUGGGAGGGCAGUGGUGAGAG-3'. The antisense oligonucleotide of the invention can be ribonucleotide, deoxyribonucleotide or chimera of ribonucleotide and deoxyribonucleotide, and any nucleotide in the chain can be modified. The miR-1229 antisense oligonucleotide of the invention can effectively inhibit expression of miR-1229 in the human glioma cell, and inhibit growth and propagation of the cell, thereby effectively treating glioma and other tumours with high expression of miR-1227.
