An acoustic wave device comprising polarization domains Alternating

2000
The invention concerns an acoustic wave device comprising a ferroelectric material layer (C) and a substrate. The invention is characterised in that the ferroelectric material is interposed between a first electrode (E1) deposited at the substrate surface or constituting the substrate and a second electrode (E2) and the ferroelectric material layer comprises first positive polarisation domains (D1) and second negative polarisation domains (D2). For applications in the field of surface wave transducers, structures can be advantageously produced with pitch domain inversion of the order of several hundreds of nanometers, adapted to high frequency applications (of the order of one Giga-Hertz).
