Elektromagnetische Verträglichkeit von Gasgeräten
1998
The European commission adopted on 21 December 1989 a resolution about a global concept for the conformity evaluation.Target was to facilitate the vote of future technical harmonization directives about the circulation of industrial products to promote the the domestic market. The so-called harmonization directive (93/68/EWG) of 13.12.1990, which intervenes in all harmonization directives, regulates that all applicable directives have to be considered, when a product is CE marked. For gas appliances this means that among other things also Annex III of the EMC-Directive has to be fulfilled. That does not only implement to prove the fact that the EMC Directive is fulfilled, but to check possible effects of EMC phenomena on gas-related safety. There are no safety related phenomena covered by standards under the EMC Directive. It can be stated finally that for the evaluation of possible effects of EMC phenomena on the gas related safety of gas appliances the tests go further than required by the EMC Directive and require gas technical measuring technique as well as specific knowledge. The responsible persons for testing and certification must face the responsibility, that they are taking over with the evaluation of the immunity of gas appliances against electromagnetic phenomena, which have influence on the evaluation that leads to a CE Certification according to the Gas Appliance Directive.
