Malfitting preventive method of controller in vehicle control system

PURPOSE:To prevent the malfitting of an ECU, and also to economically carry out the manufacture and control of the ECU by reducing the kinds of the ECU as few as possible. CONSTITUTION:In a MPU 5, information about a plurality of control parameters of a plurality kinds of vehicle control systems is incorporated. The system identification signal corresponding to the control system to be mounted on a vehicle is provided to an ECU 1 from a system identification signal providing device via system identification signal providing vehicle harnesses 3. Thereby, the MPU 5 is corrected to meet the set value of the control system of the vehicle. In other words, out of a plurality of control parameters being incorporated in the MPU 5, the control parameter of the control system corresponding to a provided system identification signal is selected, and the set value inside the MPU 5 is corrected on the basis of the selected parameter. Thus, an ECU corresponding to the control system to be mounted on the vehicle can be prepared.
