Application of Frequency Curve Fitting Method in Generalized Extreme-value Distribution

The frequency curve of generalized extreme-value distribution may also be calculated using the three statistical parameters of mean value,variation coefficient and skewness coefficient.Through establishing the table of frequency factor for this distribution,frequency analysis and calculation can be carried out conveniently.A series of annual maximum discharge of a station on Lishui River was taken as an example,we carried out frequency calculation of GEV with frequency curve fitting method.The results show that GEV is certain adaptable.
