Resistance of superdislocations to motion, due to their intersection with attractive superdislocations of other slip systems

1976
An estimation is made of the extent to which superdislocations in ordered alloys with the L12 structure resist motion as a result of their intersection with attractive “forest” superdislocations. The results show that the stress required to overcome the linkages arising from the slippage of a screw superdislocation through a superdislocation forest is greater than that encountered in the case of an edge superdislocation.
