The invention discloses a novel normal-temperature water reducer with high water-reducing rate and excellent dispersity. The water reducer is characterized by being prepared from the following components in percentage by weight: 30-40% of methyl allyl polyethenoxy ether, 1-10% of a self-made assistant, 10-20% of acrylic acid, 1-5% of triethanolamine, 1-5% of ascorbic acid, 1-5% of caustic soda flakes and 40-60% of water, wherein the total weight percentage of the components is 100%. The water reducer has the advantages that a heating reaction is not required, the water reducer can be prepared at the normal temperature and is excellent in dispersity, and the production energy consumption is reduced.
