Percutaneous permanent procedures

Abstract Percutaneous permanent spinal cord stimulation procedures now represent the majority of procedures used in patients who necessitate this therapy. Guidelines and newer programming technologies have enhanced success and reduced complications associated with the percutaneous approach. There are considerations to keep in mind where a paddle lead may still be necessary to assure long-term success of spinal cord stimulation therapy.
