The nature of the linear frequency dependent alternating current conductivity interpolating between conductivity relaxational and vibrational responses in alkali oxide glasses
1992
In glassy ionic conductors there are two features in their relaxation properties that are commonly observed. One is the approximate linear frequency dependent alternate current conductivity interpolating between ion conductivity relaxation and vibrational absorption and the other is the anomalous nuclear magnetic resonance spin-lattice relaxation contribution with rate 1/T 1 that has approximately linear Larmor frequency dependence and a slightly stronger than linear temperature dependence, which becomes prominent at sufficiently low temperatures. We show that these two properties are related and that both stem from a common physical mechanism
