2010
ABSTRACT ABSTRACT ABSTRACT: The support system to the incontinent patient is so conservative and non-invasive, that it presents a deficit in Florianopolis, SC, Brazil. A piece of research was developed in 2006, with four patients with urinary incontinence, aged 50 to 72, at an outpatient unit of the University Hospital of the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Florianopolis, SC, Brazil. Data collection was made on the basis of half-structured interviews, the evaluation form of the urinary incontinence, and the daily frequency. Results demonstrate the association of self care and conservative practices such as rehabilitatio n of the pelvic diaphragm generates total recovery of urinary continence at a low cost.
