e13563Background: There have been significant advances in the systemic treatment of breast cancer over the past decade. Identifying factors associated with disparities in the receipt of chemotherapy may improve breast cancer mortality. The Texas Cancer Registry (TCR) is a population based registry of cancer cases which collects data on whether chemotherapy was recommended by the treating physician and received by the patient. The objective of this study was to assess demographic, clinical, and geographical factors associated with lack of receipt of recommended chemotherapy (RRC) and its association with breast cancer mortality. Methods: The TCR was used to identify women age ≥ 18 with invasive breast cancer diagnosed from January 1st, 2007 to December 31st, 2011.
