Non Hepatitis viruses in causation of acute sporadic Non-A, Non-B viral Hepatitis

Viruses other than Hepatitis viruses i.e. Cytomegalovirus, Epstein-Barr Rubella etc., can cause a clinical picture resembling that of viral hepatitis. Consequently, these viruses can falsely contribute to the diagnosis of Non-A, Non-B hepatitis amongst cases of sporadic jaundice. This study attempts to find out the possibility of occurence of such an event.
