Hydrogen removal system for small steel containment vessel

2014
The utility model discloses a hydrogen removal system for a small steel containment vessel. The hydrogen removal system comprises a plurality of gas circulation tubes which are arranged outside the containment vessel and communicated with the inside of the containment vessel, a hydrogen recombiner and an exhaust fan are arranged on any one of the gas circulation tubes, and each exhaust fan is arranged at the downstream of each hydrogen recombiner. When a nuclear power plant is in normal operation, the exhaust fans are operated to enable the containment vessel to be vacuum inside; when design basis accidents or severe accidents happen to the nuclear power plant, the risk of burning is avoided as oxygen capable of reacting with the hydrogen is unavailable in the containment vessel; when the hydrogen concentration exceeds the safety limit, the hydrogen is removed through the hydrogen recombiner, and the hydrogen concentration in the containment vessel is controlled to be kept within the safety limit; therefore, the nuclear power plant maintains the safe and stable state for a long time.
