Contribution of projective tests to the clinic of sexual assault victims

2020
Based on a clinical case resulting from our thesis research, that of a young 26 year old man, abused as a teenager by a close family relative, this article highlights the interest and the transferential conditions of the use of Rorschach and tat in the psychotherapeutic care of victims. Each in their own register, offer a place of deposit and a first scene of figuration and storytelling of the sexual trauma and its bodily damage (somatisation). As a result, projective creation favors the bringing to life of sensory experiences left wandering in the form of an enigma in the body. Finally, through the projective transferential scene, the clinician, in place of a helping witness, lends his psychic and bodily apparatus to allow the victim subject to access a work of subjectivating traumatic experiences.
