Resonant photoionization for average ions

Abstract The authors try to develop a method to calculate the rate of the reverse process of dielectronic recombination that can be used in the rate equations in an average ion model. Based on the detailed configuration accounting (DCA) model, an approximate formula for the above calculation is presented and is tested by the DCA model.
