Basic sources and the process of follicle new growth n a regenerating thyroid gland of young laboratory male animals (rabbits, rats, guinea-pigs) after three quarter thyroid parenchyma resection of are studied in this article. According to the results of research new follicles are formed both in damages areas, and in the intact part of the remained parenchyma. The source of a follicle new growth in a damage zone are the thyrocytes of damaged follicles, and in the intact part • ·proliferative thyrocytes.
