PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct hit type aerosol having an excellent control effect against insect pests.SOLUTION: Provided is a direct hit type aerosol comprising at least one pyrethroid compound, an organic solvent, and a propellant, wherein a value (β) calculated according to the following formula is in a range of 0.5 to 25. Preferably, the pyrethroid compound is one represented by the formula (I), and even more preferably at least one compound selected from the group consisting of imiprothrin, tetramethrin, prallethrin, transfluthrin, metofluthrin, dimefluthrin, 2,3,5,6-tetrafluoro-4-methylbenzyl 2,2-dimethyl-3-(1-propenyl) cyclopropanecarboxylate, and the like.
