Relationship between LH value in HCG day and outcome of in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer in aged patients

2015
Objective To investigate the relationship between luteinizing hormone( LH) level in human chorionic gonadotropin( HCG) day and the treatment outcome of in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer( IVF-ET) of aged patients. Methods Retrospective analysis was performed in women who aged 38 or above, receiving 370 fresh transfer cycles of long protocol ovulation induction in Reproductive Center of Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Liuzhou from January,2009 to December,2014. Statistical analysis and graphing was used to deal with the relationship between LH level and uterine pregnancy rate, and all the women were divided into group A,group B,group C and group D according to hierarchical cluster analysis in SPSS statistical software. Then, ages, duration of infertility, antral follicle count, days of falling tone,Gn amount,Gn days, foundation hormone, endometrial thickness in HCG day, endometrial pattern, numbers of retrieved oocytes, numbers of maturation oocytes as well as numbers of embryo transfer, high qualified embryo rate of embryo transfer, clinical pregnancy rate, abortion rate and take-home-baby rate were compared between groups. Results Results of SPSS statistical analysis and graphing showed that pregnancy rate first increased and then decreased with the increase of LH value in HCG day. Difference of ages, endometrial thickness in HCG day, numbers of embryo transfer, high qualified embryo rate of embryo transfer and abortion rate in the 4groups was not statistically significant( P 0. 05). In addition, difference of clinical pregnancy rate and take-home-baby rate of group B was statistically significant when comparing to group D( P 0. 008). Conclusion The clinical pregnancy rate of woman with assisted reproduction fresh transplantation first increase and then decrease with the increase of LH value in HCG day. When the LH value in HCG day is between 0. 76 ~ 1. 77,patients can obtain better clinical pregnancy rate and takehome-baby rate.
