Application of sorption process for the removal of radioactive elements
2021
Abstract The radionuclide pollution in water arises naturally and can cause from industrial application. Various separation techniques have been applied for the treatment of water that contains radioactive elements. The scope of this work is limited to the sorptive removal of radioactive elements. In this paper, the efficient elimination of radionuclides by using various sorbents is summarized. The effect of process parameters, such as solution pH, temperature, interfering ion on the removal of elements, is outlined. The sorption kinetics and the capacity of sorbents are tabulated in related tables.
