TRIADS : managing change in a complex world

The telecommunications industry is characterised by enormous complexity and rapid change. The TRIADS project was set up to support business-wide architectural design and planning in this environment. A system has been developed to provide management and visualisation of BT's architectural framework, together with impact analysis facilities and support for the migration planning process. This paper outlines the business model underpinning TRIADS and describes some of the functionality of the system.
