Amelioration of Stirrup and Compression Reinforcement on the Ductility of Reinforced High-Strength Concrete Beam

18 rectangular high strength concrete beams were tested to investigate their ductile behavior. The results show that it will be more advantageous, for ductility, to choose the compressive reinforcement of larger diameter and closely spaced stirrups. Experimental materials, methods and results are discussed.
