The invention discloses a light guide plate and a method for manufacturing the light guide plate. The light guide plate comprises a light guide plate main body and a plurality of optical microstructures, wherein the light guide plate main body has a light emitting surface and a bottom surface which are opposite; the optical microstructures are formed on the bottom surface; each optical microstructure comprises a bulge, a recess, a first arc surface and a second arc surface, a first end of the bulge is adjacently connected with the recess, a second end of the bulge is opposite to the first end, the first arc surface extends to the top of the bulge from the recess, the second arc surface extends to the top of the bulge from the second end, and a curvature of the first arc surface is smaller than that of the second arc surface. The manufacturing quality of the light guide plate can be improved, and by means of the optical microstructures manufactured with the method for manufacturing the light guide plate, emergent light of the light guide plate is more concentrated.
