Determinantes de información de sostenibilidad de empresas peruanas

espanolEl desempeno de sostenibilidad y su reporte han tenido un importante desarrollo en los ultimos anos para las empresas latinoamericanas, en respuesta a regulaciones promovidas por organizaciones internacionales y en empresas cuyo tipo de industria tiene un mayor impacto social y ambiental. Las empresas peruanas tambien han participado en iniciativas de informacion bajo el modelo de la Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), debido a la influencia de las asociaciones empresariales y grupos de interes, siendo mayor en las empresas con un importante desempeno de sostenibilidad. El objetivo del presente estudio es analizar si los factores de tipo de industria, tamano, naturaleza transnacional y experiencia de publicacion son determinantes en el nivel de cumplimiento de la informacion de sostenibilidad de las empresas peruanas, segun los criterios de la GRI. Para esta investigacion de realizo un analisis de contenido de memorias de sostenibilidad de 67 empresas y un analisis estadistico multivariante para determinar la significancia de las relaciones entre las variables estudiadas. Los resultados indican que el tamano, el sector empresarial y la pertenencia a grupos transnacionales son factores determinantes en el nivel de cumplimiento de la informacion de los aspectos de desempeno ambiental y social EnglishThe sustainability performance and its report have had an important development in recent years for Latin American companies, in response to regulations promoted by international organizations and in companies, whose type of industry has a greater social and environmental impact. Peruvian companies have also participated in information initiatives under the model of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), due to the influence of business associations and stakeholders, being greater in companies with an important sustainability performance. The aim of the present study is to analyze if the factors of industry, size, transnational nature and experience of publication, are determining in the level of compliance of sustainability report of the Peruvian companies, according to GRI criteria. For this research, a content analysis of sustainability reports from 67 companies and a multivariate statistical analysis were performed to determine the significance of the relationships between the variables studied.The results indicate that the size, the business sector and the membership of transnational groups are determining factors in the level of compliance of the information of the aspects of environmental and social performance.
