The present invention relates to a fuel additive composition comprising at least a first additive comprising a partial ester derived from polyols and a second additive comprising a quaternary ammonium salt. The first additive comprises at least 50% by weight of a compound A chosen from partial esters of polyols and monocarboxylic aliphatic C4 to C36, saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched, cyclic or acyclic, said partial esters can be taken alone or mixed. The invention also relates to a diesel fuel comprising such a composition and the use of said fuel to control deposits in a diesel engine. In particular, the invention relates to the use of fuel containing the additive composition of the present invention in diesel engine with direct injection.
