Biopolymer based on Lactococcus lactis, NRRL B-30656 culture process of Lactococcus lactis NRRL-30656 b and process for preparing biopolymer.

A microorganism isolated from soil was identified as a strain of Lactococcus lactis NRRL B-30656, which when grown in a medium containing sucrose produces a transferase, extracellular enzyme, which when purified and placed in a medium containing sucrose to suitable temperature and pH conditions produces a biopolymer of glucose and fructose.
