Transmission properties of Fiber Bragg Grating with GPU support

Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) has important role in optical telecommunication, and could be used as a sensor. Examining FBG for the design of the practical implementation is important. Finite diference time domain (FDTD) method used to evaluate FBG characteristic. Graphic processing unit (GPU) calculation is proposed for faster simulation time. Results show that GPU computation could substitute CPU computation based on result's similarity. More than 50 times faster simulation time also observed when using GPU computation. Results from different parameter of FBG show that FBG characteristic's pattern could be imitated in this simulation.
