Model predictive control of bidirectional DC/DC converters for hydrogen fuel cell vehicles

2020
In order to improve the response speed and reliability of the bidirectional DC/DC converter in hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, extend the life of the hydrogen fuel cell, and thereby improve the performance of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, this paper applies model predictive control (MPC) to hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in control with a bidirectional DC/DC converter. First, establish a state-space average model for the converter, and then linearize the model near the stable point to obtain a suitable prediction model. According to the state quantity and input quantity, select a suitable objective function to ensure that the converter has a faster response process. Response speed and small voltage overshoot. Finally, through simulation verification, the model predictive control has achieved the expected effect in the control of the bidirectional DC/DC converter.
