Percepción de la violencia verbal en las aulas: La mediación en escena

2021
In recent years, we have seen how school conflicts have become the order of the day in the press. The educational administrations and, in general, all the schools in our Autonomous Communities are very concerned about mitigating the conflictive progress that arises in many schools. In order to curb these situations, programmes are implemented to promote school coexistence. The aim of the present work is to examine how school conflicts are perceived by students in Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) in the province of Malaga. A study has been carried out based on the perception of conflicts from the students' perspective using a School Violence Questionnaire (CUVE). The sample consisted of 1069 students from public and state schools in the province of Malaga. The results obtained indicate the existence of a significant level of conflict. We conclude that the conflicts analysed between students and teachers can be addressed through school mediation. For the descriptive analysis and analysis of reliability and validity of the data we used JAMOVI, free statistical software. School mediation is a strategy with promoting ethical principles, voluntariness, neutrality of the mediators and confidentiality, which have an impact on the psychosocial development of the students.
