Fabrication of metal oxide/carbon nanotube nanocomposite and metal oxide nano rod

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a metal oxide-carbon nanotube composite, and a method for manufacturing a metal oxide nanorod are provided to coat a metal oxide on a carbon nanotube by nano-sized thickness without the additional surface treatment. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a metal oxide-carbon nanotube composite comprises the steps of (s10) stirring a carbon nanotube in a surfactant solution to induce a hydrophilic functional group on the surface, thereby dispersing the carbon nanotube; and (s20) dispersing the hydrophilic functional group-induced carbon nanotube in a metal precursor solution and stirring it to form a metal oxide coating layer on the surface of the carbon nanotube. The carbon nanotube is not treated with an acid.
