Public universities: the challenge to meet technology

This paper is based upon a panel discussion held at the twelfth Computing Center Management Symposium, March 27-29, 1985. The session chair was Barbara B. Wolfe, Assistant Vice President for Information Systems at the University of Minnesota; the panelists were Geraldine E. MacDonald, Director of the Computing Center at the State University of New York, Binghamton University Center; Penelope Crane, Manager of Academic Computing for the California State University system; and James L. Carmon, Assistant to the President for Computing for the University of Georgia system. As the session chair, Barbara B. Wolfe assumed responsibility for the compilation of this paper.
