Monosomic Analysis of the Stem Rust Resistant Genes "s

1999
Monosondc analySis of resistant genes in Garuda "s" to stem rust pathotypes 21C3CTR and 34C2MKR werecarried out. The results showed that Garuda "s" carried three independent and dominant genes, one gene Sr9b onchromosome 2B for resistance to pathotype 21C3CTR, one gene Sr11 on chromosome 6B for resistance to34C2MKR, and the other gene Sr30 on chromosome 5D for resistance to 21C3CTR and 34C2MKR. Gene Sr11 isepistatic to gene Sr30 according to the test with pathotype 34C2MKR. The resistance to 21C3CTR in Garuda"s" isbecause of the additive effect of Sr9b and Sr30, and other modifying genes may also exist.
