Calculation of Shear Stability of Conjugation of the Main Pillars with the Foundation in Wooden Frame Buildings

2019
The authors give a list of wood advantages as a building material and main glued-wooden constructions. Glued-wooden frame constructions, their elements and manufacturing methods are considered. The advantages and disadvantages of glued-plywood and glued-plank wooden uprights and the area of their application are listed. The issues related to the design and interface node manufacture (support node) of these structures with foundation are considered. The authors note the ways of increasing the stiffness, strength and reliability of these nodes and their advantages. As a node connector of glued-wooden upright with foundation, a steel claw washer C1-type is investigating. The variants of connecting such nodes for glued-plywood and glued-plank wooden uprights are offered, the example of calculation is given. As a material for the study, two variants for fastening wooden patch plate to glued-wooden upright (rectangular and box section) are adopted: the 1st - by bolts; the 2nd - by claw connectors. For each fasten variant, the required number of connectors is calculated. The calculation indicated that claw connectors C1-type have a greater load-bearing capacity than a bolted connection 16 mm in diameter. As a result of the research, it was found that the use of claw connectors reduces steel intensity of the interface node in 2.1–2.3 times, as well as provides the strength, stiffness and operational reliability of the connection.
