The invention belongs to the technical field of health care food and discloses sugarcane polyphenols extract and a preparation method and application thereof.The preparation method includes the steps that sugarcane or bagasse is taken, crushed and then sieved, coarse powder is obtained, then the coarse powder is extracted with an ethanol solution, filtering is conducted to remove filter residues, and filtrate is subjected to decompression and concentrated to extractum; water is added to the obtained extractum for dispersion, petroleum ether is adopted for extraction, a petroleum ether phase and a water phase are obtained, the water phase is extracted with ethyl acetate, an ethyl acetate phase is collected, and the ethyl acetate phase is subjected to decompression and concentrated to extractum; then chromatographic separation is conducted with a polyamide column, ethyl alcohol is subjected to gradient elute, eluate with the alcohol volume concentration being 30% is collected, the eluate is concentrated and dried, and the sugarcane polyphenols extract is obtained.The sugarcane polyphenols extract is made of staple crops, namely sugarcane, multistage extraction and column chromatography gradient elution separation and purification are conducted, and a product has higher hypoglycemic activity and can be used for food additives and functional food.
