Adaptation of damages map to historical buildings with pathological problems: Case study of the Carmo's Church in Olinda PE

This paper presents the elaboration of damages map in a XVI Century building of aiming to encourage the preservation of this historical-cultural patrimony. The research type elaborated damages map from the Damage identification forms developed in the inspections carried out. FID configurated as an important tool to register problems, guiding prophylaxis services. It also emphasizes the complexity of the historical buildings investigation, as it becomes indispensable to know the techniques and materials used in these constructions. Finally, it concludes that the use of the indicated steps, in the elaboration of damages map, provide subsidies to facilitate the analysis of the symptomatology and the correct diagnosis of the pathologies found, guaranteeing a more reliable proposal for the treatment of the anomalies.
