ANALOGUE SENTIMENT FOR SMARTPHONE

While objects become more digitalized, analogue has become more desirable. The socio-behavioral trend research reveas an opportunity to use analogue sentiment for innovation, particularly on smartphone, which is an inevitable digital device of recent interest for its negative reputation of overuse. This paper studied how users use smartphones, and developed the insights into design concepts which incorporate analogue sentiment on smartphone. The study found that analog interactions could bring analog sentiments and help divert users from smartphone overuse, by providing tangible interaction experiences between users and their smartphones.
