Estudio por Resonancia Paramagnética Electrónica (EPR) del Material Magnético Presente en la Abeja Apis Melífera

The results of a study with the technique of Paramagnetic Electronic Resonance (EPR) to common honey bees (apis melli-fera) are presented. The interest is centered in help us to understand the mechanism that the bees use to guide themselves. Spectra were taken for head, thorax and abdomen finding magnetic substances as Fe+3 ions in the three parts and magnetic nanoparticules or clusters of them in the abdomen. An accepted hypothesis is that such nanoparticles are magnetite is for-mulated, in comparison with similar works. These analyzes are complemented with EDAX and X - rays fluorescence re-sults.
