Dose responses to cancerogenic and mutagenic treatments. [Animals and plants]

Thirty-seven dose-response curves involving animal and plant material, subjected to treatment with cancerogenic chemicals and low linear-energy-transfer ionizing radiation, have been gathered from the literature. The mathematical treatment of the published data shows an unexpected universality of biological behavior that may be helpful in the extrapolation of experimental animal data to humans.
