La conversion électromécanique dans les assemblages céramique-métal : Application aux moteurs piézoélectriques : Matériaux et composants piézo-pyro-ferroélectiques

1996
Piezoelectric motors are new kinds of actuators that work by converting energy in two ways : electrical-to-mechanical conversion in piezoelectric ceramic discs, and mechanical-to-mechanical conversion from the stator to the rotor. In certain piezoelectric stator designs, the ceramic discs need to be bonded onto a metal plate. This difficult operation is critical to motor performance. Ultrasonic motor developers currently favor making the electrical connection through the adhesive material, which therefore needs to be thin enough to provide electrical contact despite surface roughnesses on the metal plate. A process for bonding the metal onto the ceramic discs has been developed on the basis of characteristic values for electrical to mechanical conversion and factors related directly to the bonding process.
