Damage study by acoustic emission: the role of the transducer
1993
Acoustic emission is a powerful tool to study damage in materials. However, if in literature, reference is made to the energy released during the failure mechanisms, few attempts have been made to take into account the local time-varying discontinuities involved in the fracture processes. The objective of this study is to have an approach of the contribution of the source-event dynamic characteristics, and of their influence on the amplitude values of acoustic emission signals
