DRD2/ANKK1 TaqI A1 polymorphism associates with overconsumption of unhealthy foods and biochemical abnormalities in a Mexican population

Purpose The dopamine receptor 2/ankyrin repeat domain and content kinase 1 (DRD2/ANKK1) TaqIA polymorphism (rs1800497) has been associated with rewarding behaviors. This study aimed to investigate the association of DRD2/ANKK1 TaqIA polymorphism with the dietary intake, the intake frequency of food groups and biochemical profile in Mexican mestizo subjects.
