Les formes de la colonisation agraire médiévale. Apport du droit et de la géographie

espanolEste articulo destaca la posibilidad de renovar el estudio de la colonizacion agraria en la Edad Media aprovechando la via juridica de analisis del “derecho agrario”, y la via geografica del analisis de las planimetrias. La idea principal es que la colonizacion agraria comporta la definicion legal de espacios ajenos al derecho ordinario. Para algunos de ellos, se pueden identificar ciertas morfologias planificadas, de las cuales se tratan dos tipos en el articulo: la “centuriacion medieval” y la trama en bandas coaxiales. En definitiva, la Edad Media, en sus diversos periodos, revela una gran creatividad juridica y morfologica. EnglishThis article underscores the possibilities of renovating the study of agrarian colonisation in the Middle Ages by taking advantage of the juridical framework of analysis contributed by ‘agrarian law’ and the geographical model contributed by planimetries. Its main tenet is that agrarian colonisation brings with it the legal definition of those spaces falling outside the scope of ordinary law. For some of these, certain planned spatial morphologies may be identified, two of whose types are dealt with here: ‘medieval centuriation’ and the coaxial division. In the end, all throughout the Middle Ages and its main periods, a great juridical and morphological creativity is revealed.
