Urban system of microwave monitoring (Geo-Dose): method and implementation

2020
Abstract The advanced techniques and instrumentation for electromagnetic environmental contamination monitoring in mega polices are suggested. Thousands of residents of large metropolitan areas are expected to be equipped with portable instruments that continuously determine their location and the level of microwave radiation in the ranges of mobile communications absorbed by them. The total consolidated information from these personal devices is supposed to be collected and processed by a server center of the Urban Environmental Monitoring Department. Many freely, randomly moving people and vehicles, equipped with measuring and data logging instruments, which are connected to the central office by communication channels form a distributed non-deterministic data acquisition system that has some advances over the conventional ones. This allows you to create online city maps with the real-time data about the electromagnetic environment. In addition, these data can be used to study the effects of microwave radiation on people’s health and cognitive abilities.
