Dr. Catherine Amelink is currently serving as the Research Coordinator for the Institute for Distance and Distributed Learning at Virginia Tech. Previously she served has worked on assessment initiatives with the Division of Student Affairs and the Center for Excellence in Undergraduate Education at Virginia Tech and as the Assessment Coordinator for undergraduate education at University of Maryland University College. She is a graduate of the Ph.D. program in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at Virginia Tech. Her research interests include work-life spillover among faculty and issues confronting underrepresented groups in the STEM fields. Catherine has served as the Coordinator of Special Projects for the Office of the Provost at Virginia Tech focusing on faculty work-life issues, diversity efforts, excellence in undergraduate education, and coordinating university planning activities and served as a doctoral intern with the State Council of Higher Education.
