This study compared the personal characteristics about tactile cognition induced by magnetic field of various intensities and frequencies, and conducted to investigate that magnetic tactile stimulator can be evoked various tactile feeling. For the experiment, the magnetic tactile stimuli of three intensities(Lev1, 2, 3) and four frequencies(10, 20, 30, 50Hz) and this combined twelve parameter was presented to the center of right hand palm of 19 adult male (22.9±2.28 years). In this case, each intensity setted to the distance between the center of palm and the electromagnetic coil where the magnetic field is generated, each setting is Lev1 = 3cm, Lev2 = 2cm, Lev3 = 1cm. Subjects asked to evaluate the feeling of the magnetic tactile stimuli to choose the word from ‘Tickling’, ‘Trembling’, ‘Pushing, Pushing, Pressing'', ‘Tingling’, ‘Tapping’, ‘Stinging’, ‘Stiffing’, ‘Percuss'', ‘Blunt’ and the strength as 5 point scale (1 : no stimulation ~5 : strong stimulus). In result, the words that showed the statistical significant difference in intensities and frequencies were ‘Trembling’(p<.001, p=.003), ’Tapping’(p=.006, p=.003), and performed the main effect analysis because these wards also showed interaction effect(p=.044, p=.051). As a result, ‘Trembling’ and ‘Tapping’ had significantly higher point of strength when the case of each ‘Lev3, 30Hz’(p<.001, p=.022) and ‘Lev3, 10Hz’(p=.005, p=.044). In this study, In spite of low frequency range, it evoked the two different type of tactile cognition separately, and It’s predicted that more cognitive characteristics will be shown when the parameters of Lev3 intensity and higher than 30Hz.
