Inter-frame cumulative variation matrix-based visual moving object detection method

2016
The invention discloses an inter-frame cumulative variation matrix-based visual moving object detection method. According to the detection method, the inter-frame variation condition of each pixel point in an image is expressed by a 0-and-1 inter-frame variation value, wherein 0 indicates that variation does not occur between frames, and 1 indicates that variation occurs between frames, and a plurality of historical inter-frame variation values of each pixel point are accumulated, an inter-frame cumulative variation matrix of which the size is the same as the image is formed at a current time point, and the inter-frame cumulative variation matrix can reflect the inter-frame cumulative variation condition of each pixel point in the image a historical period; a background image is updated in real time through the inter-frame cumulative variation matrix; and background subtraction is performed on a current image and the updated background image, so that a difference image can be obtained, and an Otsu algorithm in a limit range is adopted to carry out binarization segmentation, so that a moving target foreground can be obtained, and finally, a moving target can be obtained. With the method adopted, the updating of the background image and the detection of the moving target can be well realized when background changes suddenly.
