Heat/mass transfer and hydrodynamics of vapor-liquid systems on addition of microamounts of surfactants

1989
The paper presents the results, analysis and certain generalizations of theoretical and experimental investigations and of industrial testing on the effect of addition of micro-amounts of surfactants on the structure of vapor-liquid flows, heat/mass transfer and hydrogasdynamic characteristics, physico-chemical and corrosion processes in a number of problems of thermal power engineering. A wide range of investigations using micro-amount of octadecylamine is considered. Octodecylamine is one of the most effective and multipurpose surfactants and may provide and effective means of heat and mass transfer enhancement, increase of economical efficiency, reliability and service life of steam-water cycle-based thermal engineering equipment.
