Mold for simultaneous growth of multiple sapphire tubes through edge-defined film-fed growth technique

2014
The invention discloses a mold for simultaneous growth of multiple sapphire tubes through edge-defined film-fed growth technique, and belongs to a crystal growing apparatus. The mold is characterized by comprising a plate-shaped location base with a through hole, as well as at least two groups of outer molybdenum tubes embedded in the through hole of the location base and inner molybdenum tubes embedded in the outer molybdenum tubes, wherein gap-shaped growth seams are formed between the inner molybdenum tubes and the outer molybdenum tubes; the growth seams are clamped with at least three molybdenum blocks for controlling the widths of the growth seams in a centro-symmetric manner; the lower ends of the inner and outer molybdenum tubes run through the through hole of the location base to form convex legs, and the convex legs are formed with feeding grooves; upper port vertical sections of the inner and outer molybdenum tubes are represented as wedge-shaped shape ends; and upper ports of the inner and outer molybdenum tubes are located in a same plane. The mold, through probation, is reasonable in structure, and is capable of realizing simultaneous growth of 2, 3, even 4 and 5 sapphire tubes by the consumption of the same electric energy and growth time, which certainly results in multiplied increase in production efficiency; and energy consumption on single sapphire tube is just 1/2, 4/3, 1/4 and 1/5 of the prior art, thus greatly reducing production cost.
